
NITER Science Society (NSS)
The NITER Science Society (NSS) is a
student-led organization that fosters a culture of research, innovation, and
scientific exploration. With the support of NITER, it aims to promote
scientific knowledge, empower students, and inspire creative problem-solving
among its members.
Activities:
- Research Support:
Guides new researchers in the basics of research and provides continuous
mentorship.
- Workshops:
Organizes workshops on scientific topics such as "Robotics and Soccer
Robots," "Training on Drone Assembly & Programming,"
and "Basic IoT & Robotics."
- Seminars:
Hosts monthly seminars like "Fostering Innovation: A Research Seminar
by Faculties and Alumni" and "Igniting the Passion for Research
and Paper Writing."
- Innovation Challenges: Promotes creative problem-solving and entrepreneurship
through innovation challenges.
Achievements:
- Secured a top-25 spot among 300+ clubs in the Youth
Leadership Summit program by the Youth Career Institute.
- Team "FLY HIGH" won the Rangpur Division
championship in the NASA Space Apps Challenge 2022.
- At the "Needle Innovation Challenge 2.0"
Ideathon, all three NSS teams—Fiber Craft Squad, Team Weave, and Next Gen
Fiber—were selected among 27 finalists out of 87 university teams
nationwide.
